Kenny Loh is a photographer who specialises in documenting the human condition. After studying photography in the US, he returned to Malaysia where he was involved in commercial photography for a few years before he moved to Taiwan and subsequently, China.
Upon his return to Malaysia in late 2009, he travelled to every single state of the country to rediscover the Malaysia he knew as a boy. This culminated in his first book, Born In Malaysia. His second book, Seberang Perai, Stories from Across the Sea, will be published in August 2016.
Kenny is currently based in Kuala Lumpur. Apart from working on his ‘Born In Malaysia’ project, he also accepts the occasional commercial assignment and portrait commission. The Orang Asli community is very close to Kenny’s heart and he works closely with the NGO, SEMOA, in the education of children.
